She was born July 8, 1923 to Mela Singh and Dhan Kaur Punn. She was one of 9 sisters, each and all very talented in music, paath and kirtan, knitting, and art. She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a second mother to many. She was a listener, compassionate, sweet, loving always. She was aware and well versed of her "duty" to her family and taught her daughters and granddaughters a sense of responsibility to care for their families She was the head of our family in teaching us about our religion and culture. She was wife to Harbans Singh. She was sister to Tari Auntie, Nina Auntie, Anup Auntie and Palli Auntie. She was mother to Baljeet Khurana, Shamsher Singh, Manmohan Singh, Ravinder Kaur, Gupreet Kaur. She was grandmother to Arti, Ramnik, Prub, Anant, Arjun, Stefanie, Joann, Simran, Pradeep. Great-grandmother to Sartaaj Singh and Caydence. We miss her in so many ways.
